Architectural Rules
Neighborhood Covenants and Architectural Control
Our neighborhood is governed by covenants that require that all externally-visible permanent modifications be approved by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). For instance, here is a non-exhaustive list of changes that require approval:
- a remodel or addition
- a new roof
- a new deck or patio
- new fencing
- painting your house a new color
- new exterior lighting
- a new driveway or hardcover walkway
OOHA’s architectural rules may be found here.
To obtain approval, please download the ARC Improvement Request Form and submit it via email to archreview@oohaboulder.org. Note that approval from the OOHA ARC is required even for projects where you are also required to obtain approval from Boulder County.
